This is a great book. I am an artist myself and found this book proved what I suspected for a long time, that Kinkade was an excellent artist in his early years before he became slave to the publishing machine he created and started putting out 95% cutsy fluff paintings. I think he was miserable having to pump out the garbage in his later years and that's what drove him to bankruptcy as well as the alcoholism and drug abuse that wound up killing him in the end.
